Overview
For special mountainous scenery in Uganda consisting of waterfalls and caves. Mount Elgon is an extinct volcano located in Eastern Uganda at the border with Kenya. A great addition to an African Safari Vacation in Uganda.
It’s located at Uganda’s eastern border with Kenya, on an area of 1,121 square kilometres.
Attractions include its spectacular scenery, Forest Monkeys, Antelopes, ancient cave paintings, spectacular caves and hot springs within the crater. The high Extinct Volcanic Mountain is a watershed and its slopes support a rich variety of altitudinal vegetation zones, ranging from montane forest to high open moorland.

Daily ItineraryDAY 1:
Early departure from Kampala, drive Eastwards to Jinja. A brief visit to Source of the Nile, and Bujagali Falls. Have refreshments and drive further Eastwards to Mbale Town. Dinner and overnight at Mbale Resort Hotel.

Drive to Sipi Falls, after which you return to Mbale. Dinner and overnight at Mbale Resort Hotel.

Drive back to Kampala through Tororo town to view the popular Tororo Rock, and feed Baboons at Busitema forest. Lunch enroute and Reach Kampala in the evening.
